Well…wow. A true rollercoaster ride of a book. Up to the standard of Malleus but of better quality.
I have ONE problem. It ends too fast, the story builds so many engaging plot threads that, at the end, it doesn’t leave itself sufficient space or time to complete them all to satisfaction. It ends up with a very brief synopsis of “what happens to everyone after” which just isn’t sufficient to satisfy any reader after the quality of the book in its entirety.
Spoiler not withstanding there is one section where I thought I’d misread something, I backtracked and found I hadn’t and was left scratching my head believing that Dan Abnett had screwed up…when you reach this point, and you’ll know when, stick with it. Accept what has been said/described and read on, all will be revealed.
All in all, a high quality read which advances Eisenhorn’s life well without finalising everything so that there is scope for further volumes.

It is an interesting final book and the plot turns are interesting, I hope I didn't give anything away either with my comments on Malleus.
