Unless this has been mentioned before...I don't believe power armour is only capable of 4 points of absorption. I would have thought..10+ imo to get the feeling that this really is the best of the best of the best in armour ways (And don't get me started on Tactical Dreadnought Armour ) I know 10+ is really REALLY good but then so is power armour, and the time taken to construct it etc..I mean a space marine would stand up after for lasgun blasts wouldnt he? Just a thought Oh and just to clarify, the no. of hits. x1 armour hit x1 body hit If I am then hit *again* (have taken *three* [3] hits) I then have to start screaming for a field surgeon yes?

1x armour hitand that buys you time 1x body hit and ffd (first field dressing) increases your "grace period"

Gor –
Power Armour: the system is open to evolution. If someone comes to an event in fully enclosed power armour I’m pretty sure I’ll give them a “Special” card. Mainly, that passage is there for completeness and also for the aid of players wanting to play Space Marine scouts, they have power armour but not fully enclosing so not as protective.
Just didn’t want any “but I’m Spider Man” arguments….
…if you went to the Gathering about 4 years back you’ll know what I mean.
Hits –
X 1 hit = armour destroyed but fully absorbs impact. X 1 (further) hit = body point taken. How much you scream, crawl or cry depends on the location hit but your bleeding.
You CAN still fight on…heroically for ten minutes (more if you have a dressing put on), after which you’ll die from internal injuries and blood loss.
Sensibly, you’d be hit, scream…call for a medic…start fighting back…get medic’d and then see what happens.
IF you’ve had a first field dressing applied by a buddy after being hit the 2nd time, your grace period (period until death) is extended to 20mins (assuming he did this almost immediately).
However, if your hit a third time your grace period is immediately reduced to 10mins if you had more than that still to run.
If you had less than 10mins the grace period remains the same (i.e. the additional wound has no direct effect as you’re already pretty close to death).
Further hits (i.e. 4+) have no direct effect.
HOWEVER, if you are hit, whilst counted as wounded, in 4 or more locations then things get really serious indeed.
Basically, the rules are to encourage troopers who have been wounded to NOT continue to fight unless they really have too. The rules are intended to encourage troopers to first seek immediate medical attention from there squad buddy who will apply their first field dressing, and then to withdraw to seek more attention from the Field Medic.
Field Medics are VERY important so are likely to be targets of the enemy. With this in mind they may be a bit back from the front lines.

it is important to note that it is remarkably easy to die in this system but only if you keep going after damage.

Forgive me if these have been covered before, but they don't seem to be in the rules...
Elites. Can anyone be an Elite?
Psyker Stuff. - Psykic Shield - Is it reactive? ie. Can you cast it just after you get hit? Reads that way to me, but I'm guessing not - Heal - in fact all Contact Range spells, can you target yourself? - Casting when wounded. Can you? Do you need an arm free? Can you do it with no head?

Good questions all and clearly need highlighting
Elites. Can anyone be an Elite?
- "Spirit of the Rules" indicates no, however its not ruled for directly so perhaps a passage indicating how "Elite" status can be obtained needs adding in a suppliment.
The method is via role play first and then expendature of Long Service Award points. I will draft the Suppliment and put it up as a seperate document with any other rule clarifications.
Psyker Stuff. Psykic Shield - Is it reactive? ie. Can you cast it just after you get hit? Reads that way to me, but I'm guessing not
- That was not its intent. It is intended to be cast prior to entering a high danger situation. I will reword that on Monday. If it was reactive, why would you have Heal?
Heal - in fact all Contact Range spells, can you target yourself?
- Yes. If fact, you could destroy yourself if you choose.
Casting when wounded. Can you? Do you need an arm free? Can you do it with no head?
Head wounds effect Psyker powers. Other wounds effect the concentration needed to use the powers. I will add a specific guide in the Suppliment but basically, with a head wound you will not be able to use such powers, other wounds will add a delay effect to them - i.e. a period of time between starting to concentrate on the power and it taking effect dependant on where the wound is.
