I think it's getting there. Sorry for the use of the MICH helmet... I needed something to wear for the days airsofting and the MICH seemed appropriate, even if it isn't on the kitlist. I also know some of it isn't dyed like it's supposed to be (the gaiters) but I didn't have time before the event. I also have to knock up a quick aquila template so I can spray some logo's onto my gear.

Nothing wrong with the gaiters, just lose the helmet (get a beret) and put a flash-hinder on the G36 and your there!

Looking good, body armour and the lasgun muzzle should see you with the basics, also deffinately get a beret rather than the mich, we're elite like that. Nice effort.

Looking good there. As far as i was aware we not dying the gaiters anyway? The Austrian ones seems a good colour as they are.
One point (and I know it's a 10 on the 'squeakometer'), you've got the gaiters on backwards - The strap ends should face back away from you. Yes I know I know it's pointlessly anal, but its the WW2 Re-enactor anorak in me. Sorry..!

I shall go stand in the corner now...

Looking good there Drezha...
It's only a minor quibble, but solid black boots are preferred. Also I haven't forgotten about the canteen...
Post in the 'Custom parts/insignia' thread on the 9th board and I'll add you to the list for a set of insignia and lasgun parts... (I want everyone to post their needs in there, so I have one place to look to see who's got what...)

The only stipulation we decided on for boots was that they be black, whatever style you prefer...

Doh!
I seem to have mistakenly bought the G36 fore end rather than the G36K front. This make any difference? I would have prefered the K length I think.
Serves me right from buying second hand from a mate rather than brand new.

nope, the work on the G36 to turn it into a las gun is a barrel cover and a pair of panels that go on either side of the top rail. You've already got the stock and magwell so thats basically it

Ah cool. So I was supposed to get the long front end?
Excellent.

Well there's 3 lengths of foreend for the G36... G36c with the 2 hole grip G36k with the 4 hole grip and G36/G36E which has a 6 hole grip with an integral bipod. We're using the K length for our conversion as I reckon it looks the best (and I designed our lasguns! ). In terms of functionality it makes no difference, as the rail conversion doesn't effect the foregrip in any way. Whatever grip you use make sure you have the right length of inner and outer barrel to match it. You'll just look like the odd one out!
