Did anyone go?
I went and while I thought it was an Ok day, it was overall a disappointment to what I had expected.
On the plus side, I got eh new Caiphas Cain novel and got that signed by Sandy Mitchell who's a throughly nice chap, got a special edition Gaunts Ghost novel (only 1200 avalible!) and got that signed by Dan Abnett and also got Graham McNeil to sign my new Department Munitorium book in the correct places as my supervisory officer ;D Oh and I had Last Chancers in my bag for the coash down and ended up having Gav Thorpe sign that as well.
Bar the black library and the like it was all medicore.
Some decent costumes about (the lass dressed as an Witchunter turned my eye a few times
) however some costumes were terrible.... Such as the plain cardboard carapace armour (he'd taken the effort to make it layered...but not to paint it...), the harliquin wondering about...
A lot of comissars' mind... and a few guardsmen.. mainly fairly bad I may add...best one was dressed in flecktarnw tih 58 webbing and complete modelled laspistol and chaisword...but the fact it's modern day kit and no attempt to hide that spoilt it. Well I thought so. Oh and a few gaunt's ghosts were there as well...however, I'm sure Gaunts Ghosts didn't wear New Rocks...I'm sure Gaunt would have something to say about the large patches of metal shining all over the boot...
