Alright, so here's how it was.
We was all fer takin' this world right. Musta been Imperium at somepoint see, still had Aquila everywhere and stamped on stuff. Guessin' they just lost a lot of the harder know-how. They were still usin' Auto's. No lasrifles for that lot heh.
So anyways, we made landfall about 3 months ago and just rolled these guys right back up to their cities. They didn't stand a chance. They had no tanks, only field artillery and no idea how real armies fight see? My lot were advancin' towards this town that was still givin us gyp and we'd had the arty boys hit them pretty hard for an hour or so. Just as we're walkin' up the main road to the town we see them comin' up the other way to meet us. Now I thought, here we go again. But we notice that while they are marchin as they always did towards us, seven officers were at the front, right, and none of the soldiers had their rifles ready. No rifles at all actually.
So we keep going and figure they've surrendered. No problem, I don't mind not getting shot at. We get within about 10 meters of each other then halt, they do likewise. Then their officers start doin all sorts of marchin up and down and saluting each other and stuff.
Then I guess they're top man turns to the men, shouts some order and they all get into open order. Fair enough I says to myself, just giving us a good show and surrendering with style, fine. But then he says something else and most of the men walk take a pace and bend forward so they're heads stick and look at the floor. Alright, this is a little odd I figured but kept quiet.
Then the officers line up with the ranks, draw their swords and start moving down the ranks beheading the men who took a pace! Now I've seen alot in my days, but I ain't seen this before! Had to calm my boys a bit "Steady boys, steady..", was hard as I was a bit fuggled myself. Then blackcoat himself came up and we had to be calm. He was spouting about honour and victory and the Imperium and stuff but we weren't really listenin' we were starin at the crazies killin lettin their officers kill 'em perfectly calm like. No complaints, not even a twitch when the bloke next to 'im got scragged.
I took a quick peek at what our officers are doin', the boss was white and talkin with a priest. I don't blame him. I think we all need a priest after this.
Lookin' back, they'd finished killin themselves. Officers had a talk with each other, shook hands then all but one bent for'ard like their troops and was beheaded by what looked like the eldest of them. He was done, quick as that then marshalled the survivors, as it were, and lead them forward to us calm as if nothin' happened.
Well, we took 'em prisoner and that was that. Strange folk these Myridians.
