I bring Good News members!
I have recently been negotiation with a good sized site (Candleston, UK) and I am confident that if we get our minimum required 35 players then we can safely give you a decent Grim Darkness, full weekend, fully catered, event!!
YAY! (he says)
However, (yeah…had to be a “however”) we can only secure dates in November, December of this year.
BOO! (I hear you cry)
But Wait! Think of this. November may be seven months away but as we’re going to be writing, planning and generally doing everything from the bottom up…it ain’t that long.
So, there are our current choices. Yes, it will be cold and no there isn’t sufficient indoor accommodation. However, there is 24hr hot water, power and full kitchens and remember your food will be fully provided (three square meals plus perhaps snacks available In Character throughout the day..if I’m feeling nice).
Please note that the event won’t go ahead without sufficient deposits as I just don’t have the money to pre-pay and pre-book any site, few of us would these days. So the event full price will be £40, with a deposit of £20 required in advance…dates etc for this to be confirmed.
The QUESTION then is:
When should this event be held?
- NOTE: poll closes in 30 days. This will also aid me in deciding if we have enough dedicated UK members (if you won’t vote on the poll, you’re unlikely to attend the event) -
