This very minor plot leak might help players focus on who they want to play and where they want to align themselves…
The Staff Sergeant moved up and down the line looking at the young (and some not so young) PDF levies.
“Well you lot! You think being in the Lord Emperors Imperial Guard is for you? Think that you’ve been selected to honour your fathers and protect your mothers?”
He paused to allow this to sink in. As expected many of the men before him smiled at the thoughts, there were even some heads nodding in agreement.
“Let me tell you NOW, that you are WRONG!! You, you inbread bunch of backwater farmboys ‘ave been selected to SEE if you’ll even get CLOSE to being worthy of such an honour!”
The stunning effect was immediate to the troopers.
“Yeah…you’ve been gathered as levy troops. Nothing more! Nothing less! You’re now meat for the great grinder and I’m gonna grind you UP and spit you lot out as Imperial Guard troopers that’ll rip the head off the arch enemy and frag down ‘is throat!”
Sgt Manius turned and walked off followed by a roar of approval from the troopers.
OOC: In the first event Imperial players will be taking the part of PDF levy troops. Embarking upon the many, many months of training required for them to become full Imperial Guard troopers (hence the restricted skill lists available). En-route to your system training base on board the ISS St. Sabbatt, you await, nervous of what is to come next as you perform drills and basic instruction in warp-space…
