We have all got the email and we all know what that means, The end of this larp system. Or is it? What if we could come away from this with what would be instead of a such in-depth larp system but moreover an airsoft mission? Like capture the flag or protect the president this could amount to a situational Airsoft 40k game. This is just ideas popping into my head and would like to continue with this if people would like to aid me in this. Tom

Manius has his reasons and i respect them however i am not prepared to let this project go under. this is something I myself have always wanted to create although University allowed little time and funds for such an adventure.
It is my own intention to carry on with this project until i am the only member left. It is my hopes that over the coming time we shall organise game days for those able to attend and also for our community to not be a single team but of many. The only way to achieve this is to carry on building our own equipment until it is such a standard that maybe a feature in a magasine spreads the world of our group.
I myself have not been airsofting for some time and i have also gained weight (just a little =p ) but i have continued to work on my own designs so that come January when i graduate, i will be able to create some beautiful costumes.
An ideal way of continuing this is to start thinking about must getting to community together for a game day and to socialise while work on the rules could carry on in the background. This will actually get us out there as a group. I would love if we could go to such events as Sennybridge as a team in costume but not using the rules as such.
Any other thoughts?

What we need to do is nominate someone whith plenty of time and enthusiasm to lead the the system into 2010. John Fuller was speaking to me earlyer today and asked me to let everyone know I have spades of time since I am now on the dole, and quite a bit of the latter. I agree about everyone getting together for a game but we have a few problems there. Mainly that with players ranging from the home counties to fife the distance involved mean most one day ames are too far for some members to attend. The ideal IIRC would be to see if we can use a site somewhere between Leeds & Derby for a full weekend. We also need to increase interest in the system. We only had 9 bookings for the training day event at candleston, and for any site we would need to find a minimum of 30 players just to cover cost's. To some extent We can get some interest once we are all playing regulally and have some sort of event, but we also need to alk about ways of advertising the system as it is. Also, I'm going to have a word with Paul & Gadge at AI and see if they can help, as well as some of next years LRP events to see if they will be able to put an A5 flyer in with their event packs. As well as the guys at www.stargatelrp.com, since they had a similar problem about copywright & publicity. What are everyone els'es idea's? What do you guys think? @tenaciostom. I think we all ready have the makings for an exelent system, and we should at least come away with a one off themed airsoft game, even if we dont incorporate the charictor gen & Mellee segments of the rules.

Firstly, thank you all for your kind comments. I hate leaving the active, organisational side of the system but if I’d decided to carry on as I was there would be no system as nothing would happen anyway. Handing this project over to others is the best way for its survival.
As I said in the email I will continue to keep this forum open. There are no hosting costs…this is on a free server…so I have no issues remaining as an Admin for the boards.
I will, however, attempt to pass Admin rights to a few others as my time will remain short.
I won’t mind if someone wishes to move the boards but with the wealth of info already here I’d hope that would be taken also.
So, I’m taking a back seat unfortunately. Whilst I’ll still be here from time to time to Admin, I am willing to comment on items people ask me about directly and, as mentioned on the email, pass details of the latest version of the LRP Rules Set (the one more developed to be a balanced LRP system based on Rogue Trader over a Glossy Airsoft Combat system).

I've passed full Admin rights to a couple of select members now so these boards will live an-on. As to the LRP side, that's up to others to take on now and I am passing the newest rules sets on also from today so I guess keep an eye out for developments there too!

Its the constant work front that's the problem really...and the "being exhausted afterwards at night" bit.
(lunch break..grabbed 10mins...yay!)
I'll keep popping in like I said so I'll be here in the background.
