Does anyone have any experience in dealing with Gunner Airsoft? Their prices seem really cheap, and I was just wondering what they are like and how much shipping would cost to the UK, same goes for RSOV. Thanks

Never dealt with Gunner Airsoft, but bought a few things from RSOV back before the VCRA, including the JG G36 for my Lasgun. As I recall, the G36 was 50 quid (ish) and I had to pay around 40 pounds postage for that and a couple of other bits I'd ordered. Didn't get slapped with customs duty then, but that can be 20 or 30 quid. RSOV service has always been good to me.
However, this was before the VCR Act. Personally I've avoided ordering RIFs from overseas since (even though I have site membership etc) due to various stories about the inconsistency of customs seizures and the agro that goes along with it.
But that's a purely personal decision. Other guys here will have had more recent experience with HK ordering and it's probably OK on the whole as long as you're UKARA registered. (I'm just paranoid).

The adage last year was – View Gunner for photos and details of the AEG, BUY from RSOV….
Basically, purchases were ok from Gunner but took FOREVER to arrive.
Can’t say if they’ve improved as I’ve not used them.
I’ll mirror Aitch’s comments about personal importation. It’s possible and if you have a defence ready (i.e. a VCRA viable reason to import it for personal skirmish use) and you’re confident of that, then you can import.
Customs are more likely to hold the AEG and contact you about it than ever before, which will add a week or so to transit and if you don’t satisfy the criteria to own a RiF then it will be destroyed.
Honestly, the UK suppliers are now well on the ball for supply and demand since the VCRA came into effect. New AEG’s are rapidly obtainable from them and you get the piece of mind that it won’t get held in customs, certainly charged extra for it, potentially destroyed for no refund and also you get some form of guarantee which is UK based so you can pick up the phone if anything goes wrong with it.
I’m getting Kit and Components from the US and HK, AEG’s I’d recommend getting from UK suppliers now. Sure you pay a small amount more (perhaps £20 after tax being added) but the retailer has had all the hassle of getting the shipment in through Customs when you don’t have to.
One thing I will add here.
Some UK retailers are beginning to stop importing Chinese AEG’s due to EU regulations regarding lead content. Lots of Far Eastern based manufacturers do not conform to this regulation and frankly never will (even some TM units!). At the moment I’ve only come across one UK retailer who is not importing due to this but this may increase.

Few more retailers for the list: www.galaxyarmynavy.com/ – US based supplier of Propper ACU kit at reasonable prices as well as some “odd” kit (ACU baby grows anyone?!?). The one thing that impressed me with Galaxy A&N was the range of sizes available. Sure its $35 for a set of ACU trouser but they ABSOLUTELY WILL fit! ebaybanned.com/index.php?cPath=29 – HK based supplier of kit/gear. Decent range of just about anything. Priced in either USD, Euros, GBP or HKD (all equate to a decent rate of exchange so no real advantage in paying in USD) and lots of items are carriage free!
