The body armour /Shoulder consist of two sheets different sheets...the outer side is an sheet with an thickness of 1.5mm and then there is an small strip with 10mm high to give the armour an massive look weld in an ankle of 90° to the first plate. the inner side is an 1mm sheet... The leg protection is made by 1 sheet with an thickness of 2mm..
The most weapons are made with an mix of 1mm/1.5mm thickness. Only the heavy weapons ar done with 2mm steel.......
But in this equipment you can´t really fight in the way you do at the airsoft ranges... its something to do an normally roleplay and looking good at cons...but you must have an good condition really too ;D Greetz Watts

Carbon Fibre?
Easy, if smelly and noxious, to use and shape. Tough and light.

Yes I know, we talk sometimes ago about making body armour with this...but carbon do´nt stop an bullet.. I ask sometimes ago for kevlar sheets, you can handle and work it like carbon...but ist very expensive... the material for an body armour in this thickness cost +/- 1400€. An other way is an composite construction, half carbon, half kevlar.... but I´need my next life for it...because so many projects , to short life...

Carbon fibre sheeting isn't that expensive, especially if your not using 100's of sheets.
pretty sure you can get it from ebay even or car body repair shops certainly.
No, it won't stop a bullet but then again, your not throwing yourself in front of any are you!?!
Main drawback with carbon fibre is the bonding adhesive - very toxic....oh and flamable.

If you want, you can look for yourself www.r-g.de/ But ist only in german language, sorry click the first.... : bestellen then : Sandwich- Werkstoffe Its flexible, shock proofed, lightweight....and not so expensive as the sheets.... LT – that aramid stuff, how is it formed?
CF and flammability – hmmm…I’m out of the loop but I must be thinking of earlier car versions and its not the CF itself that was flammable it was the resin that fixed it. They’ve obviously solved that issue…lol!

Truly amazing look as always Watts! what king of water bottle have you got on there? (ww2 era German?). Have ye thought about trying to find some US arctic canteens as they're pretty much identical to the ones on the minis...

@lt Gebra: Is a czech one....its nearly the same as the WWII german...
Very cool tip, this arctic bootle looks really like the cadian one.. I´ve never seen a bootle in this style in german army cataloges or at shop pages......
@all: the aramid wabes can be free formed, is an very flexible material...but must be fixed in an form an hardened by an fluid.. Greets Watts
