Not realy sure where this lives, but here will do, I've just seen a G36SL9 for sale, this is a BE (thats Both Elephant, the cheap chinese company) product and its on sale for £85 at the H & K airsoft site. www.hktacticalworld.co.uk/page7.htmBeats the crap out of the prices for TM or CA (and then the price of the conversion kit)

Ah... I have heard some bad things about Both Elephant. From what I've heard you could be buying £85 worth of trouble, but mind you cheapsoft has been improving very quickly. I also imagine that those looking to get long las's would be looking very closely at a gun's performance at range. Does anybody know anyone who has bought one of these? Usually with cheapsoft that is the only way to tell. Alternativly wait and see if Airsoft World/Scotland stock it, they normally filter out all the bad kit and you get a warranty.

I got a Dboys S system from AW, I had to replace the gearbox and body, I got some free stuff for my trouble and I have ended up with a kick ass M4. As with anything we will have to suck it and see, but if the internals are crap then replacing them shouldn't be too much trouble. £85 for the gun, new hop £15 new gear box £100 (ish) and done for £200 or TM G36 £150 (ish) and around £200 for the SL9 kit total £350 to £400 possibly more.

If you had a spare V3 gearbox and G36 hopup knocking about that's probably be a good buy... otherwise, I heard nothing but bad about BE stuff...

yup - BE are certainly the very low end of the Chinese AEG's. Best avoid until someone else is more brave or has the spare cash to buy it and test it.

Danke. For the HK prices, they aint to bad, £45 Each. It also means that it will give us a G36 that, if it works, wont seem too daunting to chop up to turn it into a Las. I also orded a JG G36 'box in case of trouble.

JG boxes are not bad, as long as they've got the sector gear right. Some of the earlier ones had an extra tooth that could cause the 'box to jam.

Tell me about it. I had one of the first run out last year, but it has its uses, mostly as a funky door stop atm.

In true Imperial Guard tradition, someone makes the ultimate sacrifice….money in this case.
I hope the BE units work out, watch the JG gearbox for power. They’re kicking out about 400fps last time I heard, even Dboy ones hit 370+ at the moment.
Once I have my re-mortgage sorted out I’m going to look seriously at the SCAR as a lasgun version stamped up for the Adebtus Mechanicus. Not sure what version but it might be a downgraded Dboy unit.
Will report back on that but if this BE experiment works out I put a BE on my list for RSOV as well.
