I am planning for Grim Darkness to run at least one small event this year. However, I am not looking for the event to run until at least September due to the major LRP fest systems holding there main events in the main summer band of the year.
I envisage events catering for 15-20 players at this stage due to our limited numbers.
I’ll ask now for everyone to put a call to any LRP playing friends they have, to see if they will be interested in helping to crew the events. Crew, I hope, will be free B&B and the variety of roles available will be quite wide – not just monsters to shoot at but also IC ancillary staff such as surgeons, cooks, rogue traders, inquisitors etc.
The two sites I am currently looking at for hosting are:
Fox Covert scout camp in Leicestershire (we would be looking at a full weekend event here)
And I am happy to say that First and Only Urban are contacting their landlords with a view to us using there site for a 24hr event as they have no objections themselves. F&O run airsoft skirmishes on Sundays so we will have use of the site from Friday until Saturday late afternoon/evening.
I’ll keep the forums updated on progress on these enquiries but again, everyone’s continued interest is vitally important so we can make this viable.
