Lots to comment on again…ok.
Advertising has been done on LRPAlliance and I was sure I put a post on Rule7 (certainly had direct contact with them anyway).
Of course, more advertising would be great also so as members you can all help in this matter. Whilst advertising directly to a Games Workshops store would be a strict “no-no” due to copywrite issues that may arise…talking to local games workshop players should be fine. They’re a pretty tightly knit bunch (I know, used to be in a clique) so word will get round that way.
The Current Situation –
I am currently waiting to hear from Gunman on what Tuddenham can offer in the way of support (water, power etc). My thoughts are to offer an alternative event with Gunmans support, Rogue Trader based, with expanded character selection sets to allow Rogue Traders and the myriad of supporters they bring with them (as well as civilians).
This will permit players to book any character from an Imperial Guard officer to a Scavvy ganger. The whole spectrum.
Of course, I’ll need time to do this well so a Gunman event is likely to be either very late this year or spring of 2010.
Payments –
Members who have already paid for the Candlston event will be contacted directly with several options for the funds they have already given. These choices will be:
1) Full refund
2) Immediate Pre-book for a Gunman event with potentially a partial refund (Gunman costs dependant)
3) Funds retained for future use at Gunman event and other services (food supply etc)
A Gathering –
I will look into Airsoft weekend events which are nationally advertised. I will vet for suitability for 40k pre-enactors and post that as a potential “gathering” for all forum members in the future (hopefully before any event it held).
Forum Members…the system needs you!
Get kit together.
Remember that kit is essential to any LRP system but that doesn’t mean you need to look like a fully geared up stormtrooper! An LRP safe sword, springer pistol plus some “raggy” clothing and you’re a Scavvy-Ganger armed with a Las-Lock pistol and a machete!!
Please keep the comments coming.
