well from my point of view the f2000 will be a decent base but the hop-up needs replacing and modifications to the gearbox to allow other mags

You are talking about a major conversion though so at this stage a few modifications to the hop and gear box are minor jobs.

On the note of developing the F2000 I saw some foam insulation in B&Q that should give a very good base for the barrel system. If I get in again anytime soon I'll try and get a photo.

oh lol i just miss read it lol. yeh foam is a good idea but if it ever gets shot then the bbs would pass straight through it and i dont think it would be very sturdy

What it gives is the shape, then a mold can be made and either a glass fibre or plastic one can be formed. Of course your going to need temps of around 270°C to cure the fibre but it'll be a hell of a lot stronger than plastic.

ahhhh thats makes more sense. i can get styrofoam not a problem from university for now as its very easy to shape etc.
I am looking at doing the same thing for the armour too but am unsure how to go about the helmet tho

Did you see the one I put together as a possible Eldar lid? I have had a look at a few Pball suppliers and saw a full head covering pball mask, I think its £30 (not 100% sure on the price) that might do with a bit of modification.

£35 plus the cost of the mask (£16) around £50 for the lid, I think this could be a long term kit build.
