Hi, please tell us about yourself and your interest in the system.
I'm Manius (also known as Quinch in other circles). I wrote the core and suplimental rule set for the system by modifying and adding to an existing LRP ScFi system called "Fifth Season". This was done with the full co-operation of its founder (Kren) and I am in gratitude to him.

*stands up looking depressed*
"Hello, my names Slim and I'm a RP Nerd"
Nah, actually I've been RPing on and off since about 1982 and LARPing since around 84/85 (again, on and off) so its inevitable that I had heavy exposure to Warhammer (initially Fantasy RP which is STILL the best thing Games Workshop every made) and moving onto 40k shortly thereafter (Grey Knights and Eldar)
I haven't played much Warhammer for a while (On an RP Sabbatical) but I do read a lot of Abnett so combining two of my hobbies (RP/Airsoft) makes a lot of sense.
In the past I've helped run the Camarilla (White Wolfs Fan Organisation of Roleplayers) as a National officer, Organised Sniper Training days through my airsoft contacts, and spent ridiculous amounts of money on both Pen/Paper RPG's and LARP's....so while I would never claim to be an expert (or even up to date) I've been around a bit.
Kind of like a used tissue....

Hiya all, looking forward t enjoying our new home! I'm Tom, currently at Warwick Uni in Coventry. Base camp is back in Hemel Hempstead, Herts thogh (J20 of M25).
Always used to play 40k as the Guard up until I was about 17, since then Ive only painted on and off and played the odd bit of Inquisitor. I have a cadian army on the go but its going very slowly- Im really trying to paint them to a personal best standard. Big fan of the 40k universe so I've got through most of Abnett's stuff and a few of Gav Thorpe's novels too.
Been airsofting since I was 14, so that makes me a 5 year veteran, heh. Got into LRP 2 years ago through NEXUS, Nik Cook's Sci fi airsoft lrp. Ive now stopped playing that after ( IMO) it went downhill, so now I play one-off events and also Maelstrom.
What else? Oh yes, my Scarovian character is Kendrick Varnes, definately a scout, possible a scout Sgt with everyone's approval. I can be a sneaky bugger when I want to so it makes sense!
Cheers all!

Hi, James here. You can blame me for starting this mess with a question on Arnies, not even a year ago, about making an Imperial Guard loadout. I've always liked the idea of LARP but have never been to a dedicated event. I've crewed at LARP/Airsoft events that Gunman have run in the past. I have been stunned by how quickly the whole idea has grown and can't wait to go to our first dedicated even.

Im Mike, im based in bolton just outside of manchester.
I am studying Special Effects Development which involves alot of practical things i am trying to include in my LARP that i have only just started to get into really. This involves Prosphetics, Props, Animatronics, Model Making, Set Design and by the end of the year a full license in Pyrotechnics hopefully.
Although i havnt actually played LARP i understand the idea behind it and I am currently working on 2 Costumes, 1 Eldar & 1 Tau
Been playing airsoft for around 4 years now and have been to many large Mil-sim events

Never fear! The colour sergeant is here! Hi, I'm Lex, I live in South London, and I've never played the Warhammer 40,000 table-top game, nor have I skirmished or LARP'd. So, I'm a noob in that sense, and in most sense - however, I'm getting heavily into the background, fluff and universe of 40K, and have written some semi-official fluff for the Scarovians. So there you have it.

I have never LRP'ed before but a few of my mates do, and I'm getting into it. Thats about it, oh and I play at gunman and live in derbyshire.

Hi - I'm Kren I've been roleplaying since about 1983 growing up with First edition WH40K and TSR products such as Star Frontiers (never got into D&D though...) and Live roleplaying since about 1985; cutting my teeth at Labyrinth and using their rules system to start our own club a little closer to home (Leicester at the time). I started to drift away from GW stuff when it really became very commercial rather than hobby based, though I still love the background and setting of the universe. I was an avid space marine collector and had a huge games table in my attic with room for all my 40K and WFB armies (orcs and goblins here) covering the walls. Recently, since moving up north and bumping into the likes of Quinch, I've moved focus a little I do less playing of LRP and more organising - I'm the head of security at the Lorien Trust and a regular attendee of the main 4 events they run every year and a host of smaller "sanctioned" events. My tabletop game of choice is "Shadowrun 3rd Edition", playing a regular game every Tuesday night. We've just finished one 4 year campaign and have started a new one with the same players. I also designed and run the "Fifth-Season" LRP/Airsoft system ( <shameless plug> www.fifth-season.co.uk </shameless plug>) with a number of successful events already in the bag. I was originally involved in NEXUS with Nic, but did not agree with him on a number of his campaign plans and ideas and we decided to part ways. You can still see some of my original ideas in the system though such as the skill spheres... And last of all, I'm sad to report I'm a bit of a crack head - world of Warcrack that is. I run "The Outriders" a military scout group (<shameless plug> www.fifth-season.co.uk/outriders </shameless plug>) on the Moonglade server. We have nearly 100 characters in the guild, which still makes us only "small to mid sized" but a great bunch of friends and lots of fun.

*bows and scrapes to Kren* Hail creator....
...welcome, glad you can join us here. If you want to plug your WoW guild, why not try to organise a meeting in our Post-A-Game section which includes computer games / on-line meetings etc.
As for Fifth Season - more than happy for you to have a section in our Non-System related section, just let me know if you want one creating.

Hi there I'm David... ...sometimes known as Wellspoken Dave. I've been a LARPer for about 12 years and due to Kren and his Fifth Season LARP/Airsoft system (Hi there buddy) have recently formed a fire team with a group of friends. There's now 6/8 of us DPM wearing G3 totting chaps on a good day. So thanks Kren for introducing me to another hobby that blows money away for geeky pleasure I'm based in Bury St Edmunds, I usually do Lorien Trust for LARP and Free Fire Zone Peterborough for Woodland airsoft. Saw this through quinch's link on the ASCUK forum and spotted a familiar face and an interesting concept so... here I am. David

Ah, another Dave who also goes to FFZ (been my local site for ever....) I wonder if I can put a name to a face sometime ;p For my sins I was also Involved in Nexus (did a massive amount of plotting and such before the first event, and created some of the story arcs) but had to step back due to real life pressure. I wasn't aware of the "decline" of the original Nexus players since the incept.... Also involved in Warcrack (lol) but I'm only casually raiding SSC/TK having given up my place in a BT/MH Farming guild.....but all of the above can be discussed on other boards - suffice to say its nice to see everyone here

Ahoy all!
Some of you may know me as Treadhead, flyinggoldfish or Si... either way, here I'm Gebra!
For those who don't know I've been involved with the 9th since pretty much it's conception and IC LT. Kal Gebra id the ranking officer of the 9th Scarovian Rifles.
OC, I live in Kent and play mainly and Fort Amherst in Chatham (with occasional forays to Dover and Urban Assault). I'm a professional modelmaker and am the man behind our lasgun conversions and I'm working on custom helmets at the moment. (just as Stamper, he's seen the proof!)
I don't really play 40k any more, the game's gone in a direction that I don't particularly like, however I've played a Guard army since the end of 1st ed and still knock out the odd tank. At it's height my AC had 40 Russes plus other types... Just wish I'd known that Apocalypse was 18 months over the horizon when I sold it all!
