Taht's a mighty guardy look you've got going on there! I rather like the mix of equipment and styles... it all looks a bit rough around the edges - as it should!!! Cool Basically what I had lying around and bits I'd made! (Besides fabric, I think the helmet cover is the only item I brought for this!) It has that 'veteran' feel. Been in the line, issued and re-issued kit, found what works, dumped what doesn't....... I do have some gaiter but they need a repair.....

'Summer' Uniform And the Zeltbahn (poncho/shelter quarter) test..... Thinking of doing it reversible with the 'winter' urban Lizard, as the underside is very white......

The Mark one body armour is complete..... A basic SAPI plate carrier with shoulder pads! Also my LBE: Only the belt, knife, canteen pouch and field dressing pouch (left , under the belt buckle) are brought, the yoke and all other pouches are made by my fair(ish) hand Next are body armour Mk 2, a CIRAS style vest and a pack off some type....

the plate carrier looks very professionell....the only point I not agree, the black holding straps, for me, I think green straps look better on the camo. The complete equipment is filled with nice ideas, well done, guardsmen Greets from germany Watts

the only point I not agree, the black holding straps, for me, I think green straps look better on the camo. I looked at using green, but as the camo is very light and I using black webbing it looks OK. I am going to use green on the other style of camo as it is alot darker. Also Body armour Mk2: Next Body armour Mk3, full Carapace!

The complete vest system looks very good....wonderfull work What I mean with the green one.. This black straps, mag pouches and belt look brandnew.....the other items have an old touch...the form of the equipment is absolut ok...but as an reanactor and an follower of dirty uniforms and black faces I get nervous if I see brandnew thinks.. I hope you will fight in the near future many dirty battles for the empereor to get the right used look... ;D Greets Watts

I was pootling about looking at my favouriotes list earlier and found this in what I'd consider a potential equipment for the 9th. I don't want us all lugging bergens as we're supposed to be super light when not mounted. What do you guys think of this in black? www.fatiguesarmynavy.com/store/item/FA1911

I have´nt sen it in black but I think its the same material as the 58er webbing and not nylon and similar materials... I´noticed that webbing in the past for my equipment too, but in germany it is more expensive. The webbing looks good( but that is my own think-about-webbings ) Greets Watts

Looks good but ideally we need a UK (or European) based solution as packing from the US can be a real downer. eBay? I’ve got a canvas backpack for my kit already, made in India very basic but looks similar to the one shown as it has side pockets, main compartment but also has a small front compartment. £8 from the local market trader! Smaller satchels of a similar vein are £5. EDIT - looks like its this one but cheaper: www.surplusandoutdoors.com/ishop/877/shopscr2455.htmlI think that for officers with bolters a Satchel is the way to go personally (similar to UKSF using claymore bags) as bolter magazines are going to be larger (I’m using AK47/74 mags) and won’t fit the normal LC2 webbing. I will dye the ruck sack I have now (as I need to re-dye it…its faded appaulingly) and then see about adding detail (Aquillia etc) then post a picture and see what we think. What it does need is internal stiffening which I’ll do with some carry-mat after its dyed. Make it look better and easier to use.

As an Ammo Satchel might I suggest this one: www.surplusandoutdoors.com/ishop/877/shopscr645.htmlDimensions are ideal for ammo storage only and we can add Velcro fastening to the inside of the top flap to ensure nothing goes missing if we don’t have time during a firefight to secure it properly (or replace with another closing mechanism…not hard to do). AND it comes in BLACK!!

Hmmm, seems I've neglected to put up the pics I had taken while back... (not that they were particularly great...) That #@!*&$ beret was bloody perfect until the camera came out....

I think I have seen the face of the God-Emperor as I glanced over this topic.
Lt Watts, your equipment is, frankly awesome. Do you do commissions or something of the sort? The helmets look brilliant and the armour you have must have been crafted by master tech-priests on a very well equipped forge world. No worries if you don't, but it's always good to ask.
P.S: I know it's not made by tech-priests, but I can't remember how to spell artificers (told you so).
